From now on we will only grant requests for public team forum and private team forum. No more sub-forums (those forums under the private forum) will be granted.

Reason for this is something you probably can understand. It simply takes a lot of time to grant all requests and we need to slim it down as much as possible to save time that can be spent on other things.

We will allow requests to delete those sub-forums still but not to change them in any other way from now on.

We are sorry for this but we really need to prioritize here.

Wouldn't it be better to just give every team 3-4 sub-forums and somehow let them choose the name of the sub-forums?? I mean from the start.... Just a thought

My suggestion: http://forum.footballide...aspx?g=posts&t=57570

I am afraid that it will cause problems anyway since every time a team want a new moderator then we have 3-4 more places to change moderator in. Not to mention that the forums must have unique names and therefore need to consist of the team names to make it work well.

How about a subforum for the UFIDA of Belgium (in the belgium section)? With restricted access obviously. Is that still possible?

You are not the manager for the team and therefore I will not grant the request.

I understand that it takes a lot of time, but it's kinda unfair that some teams now do have sub-forums and that other have to work in total chaos. Is it that much work to make for instance 3 sub-forums?

Now, do we have to post it in the suggested improvements section to get a response (from the admins) or what? Seems they're not responding to this topic anymore..

As it is now it is CLEARLY not possible for us to allow sub-forums.

We did try to have this opportunity open in the beginning just because of the reasons you mention but when we realised that it did not work out in the long run then we had to close that opportunity. It is not a decision we made because of us being lazy. It was because we already have enough manual work as it is and the community is not getting smaller.

If you think it gets better if we take the sub-forums away from those few happy teams who have that then you may suggest that we delete those.

If asking me then that is nothing but unfair to those teams since they have adjusted their forums according to those sub-forums. And if you think about it - will that really make you happier? I don't think so.

Being jealous because of some sub-forums are not really worth it - is it?

Fair or not fair. This is the solution we have now. We don't have time to deal with sub-forums and the only requests we make nowadays regarding sub-forums are deleting.

So please show your better sides and let those few teams who have sub-forums have them and accept for now that we are currently not able to handle sub-forums. Feel free to suggest this for the future though and we may be able to make some kind of automatical solution in the future.

First of all: Thanks for the reply, and there's no need to get all personal smiling

My question has nothing to do with jealousy. It's just that it it way handier for a team to have just a small amount of sub-forums to work in chaos and having a hundred different topics on the same page and players won't know were to look.

Then ofcourse there's the possibility of an external team forum but there's a big chance that there will be less activity on those forums as FID-forums are way more easy find.

You keep telling us that there's no way that it's possible for teams to get sub-forums but you haven't convinced me that you've really looked for an answer. Isn't it possible to give National moderaters more responsiblities and give them the task of creating subforums? Have you thought about these kind of things?

The way it is now, I do think it would be better that sub-forums (for those who do have) it would be deleted, yes. Now I'm not saying you should but as I would not want those sub-forums to disappear but I would appreciate if you guys would like to try to work something out instead of just rejecting the idea.

Again, I understand you're busy and I don't care if it does not get the top-priority but I would like to get it fixed.

We have looked at these ideas of course but as the forums are working there are simply no good, simple solutions like that. This does not mean that it will not be fixed in the future but currently we have more important things to concentrate on as we see it.

And I did not mean to get personal but it was the only way to respond to the "unfair argument" as I see it since that argument is pretty much based on "jealousy" in a sense. The fact that some few teams have sub-forums does not hurt any other team after all.

We know it is unfair but it would be even more unfair to delete the forums since that means that the organisation of the team forum gets ruined in many cases. Hunting all those sub-forums would also take quite some time and effort.

So we do know that sub-forums would be great to have (that is why we allowed it in the beginning) and we will try to fix that somehow but at the moment the tools we have does not make this possible and it will be something we will have to work for to solve in the future.

As you hopefully can see we have not rejected any ideas, we just have so many ideas from users and ourself that we need to prioritize.

Yes, you can but you need to post a request as everybody else in the correct forum and in a new thread that you create.
