WF or inside forward is so important in todays football. formations like 442 with SM are not so popular anymore, but in football identity is opposite.

It's because they play basically the same role here... Which reminds me on one topic long lost in suggestions... I think it was Vicestab's topic... It was about pitch zones... Maybe something like that would change these problems with formations... and use of WF/ACM/DCM...

Funny (not so funny for my WF) part is, sm actually play like WF in FI. they are totally in final 3rd. but i get penalty and SM not. sick. Sad

i wish they make something like in FM, on same positions you can choose different role. because it is like that in real football.

everywhere i play i get penalties.. up front as forward- penalty, on wing - penalty.. it only makes me stronger, but it is really hard. smiling

and my fav. position for my whole life is wing forward, inside forward, so im not quiting. smiling

How many stars you put in CF for secund position? i have just one, i start to train 2nd one, but its going so slow, like 2-4 % per training. ill need half season just for 2nd star.

And i heard 3rd , 4th and 5th are even harder to learn. arghh. Sad

You're on absolute horrible salary, 100k is nothing. Wait until you're older and can get 1M+.

BTW you can play as a normal WF. Play on the wing, and then instead of crossing shoot it yourself. Doesn't matter, in fact it saves you a potential extra fight.

One day I'd like to create a WF, but will wait until a) one of my players retire and b) a wider variety of formations are actually used.

I anticipate this will take a very long time. It seems not many realise thy different systems can generally bring different overloads this reducing the inevitable need for praying to the 3star gods for safe passage.

I just noted that FIDAdmin1 just said formations with multiple DCMs and ACMs are not feasible, so morri3sa's suggestion is out, I guess....

morri3sa's suggestion is what i was going to suggest. 3-2-2-1-2 is my favoured position of all time (though it would typically be almost build off a 5-2-1-2 instead of a 3-4-1-2, with 2 wing backs)

id like to see a formation featuring 4 at the back and 4 up front (4-2-4) with 1 or 2 extra CF roles featured. it is a realistic formation for chasing goals, even if it is unlikely to be the feature from the beginning of a game.

sensibly speaking i think that should be looking like the old fashioned aggressive 4-4-2 with the widemen advanced (as opposed to 4 all blocked up as one attacking line).

the 4-1-4-1 suggestion by xeno would be my third preferred option. it doesn't feature many of the suffering positions but it is a formation that really needs to be in there as a means of choking teams who play it up the middle.
