Because both his shucksing arms are in the air, do you think he ran towards the ball with his eyes closed the entire time??????? He knows what he was doing, and hoped to get away with it, he did not, and now you mad.

Stop being so goddamn salty. Its like you lost your house on Germany going out.

Blind anger over something obvious.

Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall

Totally agree with Neuro !

Its obvious...for some reason Juuuuuuulius cant see what is quite clearly what everyone else can see and a deliberate hand ball, I mean lmao Laugh Out Loud he left his arms flopping around like Ive never seen before, ofc he meant to touch the ball as he was losing the fight to win the ball. And for Juuuuuuuulius to say....."why would he do it on purpose, it would be obvious the French would get a penalty..." lol !!

Juuuuulius, why does anyone try and get away with anything in football ? Because they hope that the referee wont see it. And quite often referees do miss something blatantly obvious, the player then knows he has got away with it Biggrin

And Juuuuuuulius, you may well be a 'professional footballer' but we all have eyes.

We all played football on street, everywhere, some of us trained it for years I wouldnt say u dont have basic knowelage, Just want answer to ur statement Bastian closed his eyes and didnt see ball

Lenght of this clip is 5 sec and it is repeating situation Bastian close his eyes for sec, he knew well where he is and what he is doing.

I think u have something against France cause u always mention Iceland case Biggrin , if it is true remmember Ricolli gave penalty at 2nd minute of match for R.of Ireland.

Too many replies, so would answer in one comment to everyone. Yeah, I have been in this kind of situations during my career like many times - similar handball situations or somehow different and everytime referees explain this differently to suit their decision which is not always correct. As Mini has said correctly and used the right word for it- this is a SOFT penalty and you can give it only if you are more than 100% sure about it. With how Rizzolli has reacted to it I can assume that he was 100% sure that the ball touched an arm and thats it. He didnt assess the situation and yeah he is going to get away with it one more time, because referees have made more serious mistakes than this one. Anyway I dont see an intention to play with a hand by Schweinsteiger- I see a guy trying to force a body contact and unluckily the ball hits his arm. It is not about having eyes as everyone sees that the ball gets into a hand, it is about assessing the physics of this situation - you cant assess it correctly if you havent been in this situations on practice, I assume you guys were not otherwise you wouldnt be saying that. You just react to a ball touching a hand and thats it, but this is only 50% on what the decision should be based.

I dont have any problem with France - it is not their fault that they were awarded with this penalty, just I think that a team of this calibre does not need any help of referees to win the tournament. Moreover they played well in second half, just the goal has changed the game completely and want it guys or not, but this decision had a direct impact on the game result at the end. So I have a problem with referees making "emotional decisions" and affecting the game with them - not with a French side.

Anyway let everyone stay with their opinion, I am already used to having a different view on what is happening on the pitch than 99% of fans. Even on BBC Shearer and Ferdinand had different opinions on this which makes it a controversial decision and football experts in Russia have also argued a lot about it and did not come to an agreement on this yet.

Portugal were very very lucky that C. Ronaldo got injured. Had C. Ronaldo played the whole game, Portugal would have lost, surely. Snooty

Poor game, poor tournament. Fair play Portugal, but the real winners are the ones who had to watch some horrendous games, some featuring Portugal. My player of the tournament is undoubtedly Messi. What a tournament from him!

Poor game?? I found this one very entertaining! Loads of chances for France and a couple for Portugal, along with a very exciting ET. Loved it!
